ABOUT

KNOW-HOW

It is the meeting of different skills and practices that led Thibaut to open his workshop and develop his artistic universe. Passionate about heritage and craftsmanship, he masters all the processes of manufacturing and restoring stained glass windows.

Between know-how and creativity, the same gestures transposed to other media, make him open his field of activity to artisanal printing techniques such as engraving on linoleum plate. These prints are printed by hand in Paris and sold all over the world.

GENESIS

After technical training in the glass industry,

Thibaut finished his apprenticeship by going through applied arts

at the Olivier de Serres school.

A master glassmaker for over fifteen years, he seeks to create
a bridge between two worlds. Using linocut as a medium, he tries to bring a more modern approach to stained glass,
an art too often considered as old-fashioned and medieval. "Taught myself another technique is a way
to breathe new life into my practice as an artisan."

He draws inspiration from medieval art, and more particularly from the Gothic period, drawing from the iconography of stained glass patterns that he redraws and composes, using them as samples. The impression
by engraving lino plates allows him to sample them
in compositions that he can duplicate. Transposed to a new technique, these images are printed in series of several copies.
